Camp Fire

I don't do comissions anymore, sorry. But Feel free to use all of the paintings in my gallery as you like, except the ones that say copyright in the description. You don't have to ask me for permission. I don't have the paintings in my gallery in higher resolution, sorry.

This is awesome. It makes me feel like a war nearby has flooded the city with refugees or something like that. Really cool mood to it.

I gotta know 'cause I can't tell; did you use phototextures for the buildings or did you paint them by hand?

Hi QTroubadour!

Thanks for the kind words. I paste in phototextures and then I paint over them. It is a good way to get some detail in your painting but most importantly it sparks my imagination. Rarely do I just paste in a texture without painting over it.

Way cool, man. I see what you do there. I've tried it myself a few times, but I fear I'm not skilled enough to make something of the jumbled mess yet. Usually I do it pretty much for the color palette.

Dude, I just took a glance at yer gallery. AWESOMENESS! I can't wait to check it out more in depth, but I'm afraid that'll have to wait 'till later; I'm already losing sleep to a painting I just finished. Bittersweet. :P Anyway, definitely gonna watch.

I looked at your gallery and you are great. If I would give you one critique, I would say that you need to practice a bit more on your values.
This guy has some good landscape tutorials: [link]

Thank you so much for the advice! I'll endeavor to make a point of working on that specifically in the future. Thanks again! :D

Got a "nice" WWII feeling to it. Real nicely put together.
